Guest Rooms:The House de Béatrice in Arcizans-Avant
near Argeles-Gazost

On site

Ideally situated between the Argeles-Gazost and Val d'Azun valleys,The House de Béatrice is perfect for exploring the region and enjoying unexpected experiences.
At a height of 460 m, the spa resort of Argeles is opening a recreational spa centre in summer 2011. “Le Jardin des Bains”, with its zinc cupola, is a great place to relax, in a setting dedicated to gardens and the senses...
Discover the benefits of a spa session on your return from a day’s horse-riding, a paraglider flight from the heights of Hautacam or Couraduque, white-water canoeing such as canoeing, rafting, fishing, thrills like bungee jumping in Napoleon bridge, climbing, via ferrata, or, more simply, a visit to one of the many zoos or sports theme parks.

Go out on a day’s walk and hear the cry of a marmot or watch an izard as you walk round the Lac d'Estaing, up to a summit such as Balaïtous, or around the magnificent Cirque de Gavarnie (listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site), the Pont d'Espagne or the Lac de Gaube...
The Col du Tourmalet beyond Luz Saint Sauveur and Barèges and the Col de l'Aubisque via Le Soulor are well known to Tour de France enthusiasts.
From the Pic du Midi, which can be reached by cable car virtually all year round, or the Pic du Jer in Lourdes, you have fabulous views of the Pyrenean chain and can pick out a few of the famous summits such as Pic du Néouvielle, the Brèche de Roland or Vignemale. You can also take a long walk in the Pyrenean National Park.
In winter, there’s a wide choice of ski resorts nearby: family resorts offering the full range of snow sports, such as Luz Ardiden and Cauterets, resorts for beginners such as Hautacam with its Mountain Luge, or the Val d'Azun domain for cross-country skiing.
